Project Overview
This project aimed to strengthen the professional capacities of young Palestinian graduates by providing interdisciplinary training in environmental governance, environmental law, and green entrepreneurship. Implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic, the initiative created an online learning platform that connected young professionals from across the West Bank and Gaza Strip with experts in environmental policy, sustainability, and environmental innovation. The program sought to equip participants with practical knowledge and skills that would enable them to engage in environmental initiatives and improve their opportunities within the emerging green economy.

Objectives
To strengthen the knowledge and professional competencies of young Palestinian graduates i n environmental governance, environmental law, and green entrepreneurship, and to enhance their capacity to participate in environmental initiatives and sustainable development efforts.
Key Activities
The project organized a series of online training sessions and expert-led webinars focusing on environmental legislation at national and regional levels, environmental governance frameworks, and opportunities in environmental entrepreneurship. Participants were introduced to practical case studies and successful environmental initiatives in Palestine and the region. Interactive discussions and knowledge exchange sessions allowed participants to engage directly with experts and develop a deeper understanding of environmental challenges and potential solutions.
Results and Impact
The project trained 25 young Palestinian graduates from across the West Bank and Gaza Strip, improving their knowledge of environmental governance and sustainability practices. Participants gained exposure to interdisciplinary environmental topics and developed practical skills relevant to environmental policy and green entrepreneurship. The program also facilitated networking opportunities between young professionals and environmental experts, strengthening engagement within the environmental sector.

The initiative contributes to building the next generation of environmental professionals in Palestine by bridging the gap between academic education and practical environmental skills.
